7th September of 2013.

This was a fine and sunshine autumn day here. I had some things to do in Smiltene and so I decided to activate another new area for YLFF. As the closest new one was Launkalne, I went there. The area is not big, it is stretched from east to west for a few kilometers and quite narrow. This time operated from the battery only. Had some local visitors as the people wanted to know who am I and what I am doing here. After the explanation of my aims they went off  and I had no further visitors. Totally only 153 QSOs were made in about 2 and a half hours. There were 2 big contests in the same weekend so the activity was very low.
